'Tis the season to GIVE. A holiday party just feels better when it's being held for a good reason. Center your house party around someone else, and share the spotlight with the ones worthy of praise. My house party was held in honor of the women working so hard in Gulu, Uganda who are responsible for making us these stand out jewelry pieces, that make the perfect stocking stuffer.
My friends and family and I got to gather around cheese & cracker plates, listen to the crackle of Nat King Cole's Christmas tunes, and laugh together, share life with each other, topping it off with way too many a treat. Yet we took the time out from all of that to bring awareness to these women who are being mobilized through our purchases to create a better life for themselves. Even without our purchase, just to recognize and share their life stories is special in itself. These women are not overlooked, we see them, and are blessed to reap the benefits of their diligent efforts.
