East Coast Road Trip

Sisterhood of the Traveling Boots
From Virgina to D.C. to Maryland to Delaware to Pennsylvania

When your sweet, sweet cousin moves spur of the moment to begin an adventure of her lifetime (aka flight attendancy, residency: Washington D.C.), you pack your boots, some scarves, jeans, easy tops to throw on, and high tail it over to the east coast to kick start autumn.  This was the place to do so, the green leaves were dripping with orange, red, and yellow.  The beauty of it all, I couldn't even take it...

BAGGAGE:
What to pack for this trip?
BOOTS (they're made for walkin', and that's just what you'll do...), and it's finally the season to debut them.  My top three boot recommendations:
1.) The Jeffrey Campbell Ankle Boots (both comfortable and stylin'! link above)
2.) Ecote Rogan Leather Lace-Up Boot (these will forever hold a place in my heart)
3.) Sixtyseven Heroic Lace-up Boot (similar to my cuzzie's, or Steve Madden has a cheaper copy cat)

And your cutest, most fun pair of SOCKS, and brighten the day when those boots kick off. Shop online SockShopOnHaight.com (you are welcome.)
Everything else you pack is entirely up to YOU! If you have the right shoes, you can do no wrong.  So follow our footsteps, and get your bootie's to steppin' :)

Reston, VA.

You definitely want to throw your boots on, and head to Dinosaur Land (the heart and soul of this state, that's my personal opinion though. Shout out Jurassic Park, there it is!)

Mr. Kong, what a swellah, swell fellah.

Washington D.C.

Arlington National Cemetery.  This was such an experience, and I've never felt more proud to be living in such a blessed country.

Philadelphia, PA.

The boots a'restin.  OH, p.s. how cute was the house we stayed in? I could have spent hours in front of that bookcase, travel book, after travel book, after travel book.

HAPPY girls :)

The signature brick lined streets are dearly missed.

Local Natives put the electric in Electric Factory, and put the boot in.....no, no boot analogy here.  This band just deserved a shout out!

Boots in good company.

Philadelphia's Magical Gardens.

Boots on strike, whip out (the still ever-so-cute) back-ups.

The setting of the sun on our last night together could not have summed up this trip more eloquently.

And I could not help but go to my Daily Light devotional (which is a must pack for all my journey's) and September 30th's evening passage read:
"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. |  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. |  The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day".
(Psalm 16:11 |  Psalm 32:8 |  Proverbs 4:18)
